There are over 11,000 restaurants in Houston but don’t let that overwhelm you – join us on Friday, July 29 from noon-1pm to learn how to navigate eating out with Teresa Byrne-Dodge, the founder of My Table Magazine. Teresa will clue us in on Houston restaurant trends as well as how to take on a city with such a huge and varied gastronomic smorgasbord! Feel free to bring your lunch or pick up one from Treebeard’s Restaurant across the street.
The speaker series “WORDS OF WISDOM: lively talks on inspiring topics” (aka “WOW Talks”) was created by Sarah Gish in 2015. There are three goals of the WOW talks: to connect wise leaders with an audience; to inspire curiosity in Houstonians; and to highlight topics and people in a new and unique way. The talks take place monthly at the Hines Center for Spirituality and Prayer at 500 Fannin at Prairie Streets. The remaining 2016 talks are “Happy Birthday Historic Houston!” with Emily Ardoin of the Heritage Society (8/26/16); “Buffalo Bayou: Transforming Houston's Historic Waterway” with Trudi Smith of the Buffalo Bayou Partnership (9/23/16); and “Exploring our Lively Houston Art Scene” with Jonathon Glus of the Houston Arts Alliance (10/28/16). Mark your calendars now and plan to join us for all of the WOW Talks!
The WOW Talks are $10/each and registration in advanced is preferred – please click here to do that.
SEE YOU ON FRIDAY, JULY 29, NOON-1PM!
